UCI School of Medicine · M1 Gross Anatomy

You are your donor's last care providers.

Every donor in the anatomy lab arrived with a history. Operations, implants, old injuries, the conditions they lived with. The Donor Medical Record gives each student group an electronic health record and a real CT. They read the scan, write down what they find, and hand it to the group that comes next.

  • 15donors in the 2026 / 2027 cohort
  • ~1,700CT slices per donor, at 1 mm
  • 3planes: axial, coronal, sagittal
  • ~10dissections, each documented

The Accretion

The only direction that animates the argument rather than the artifact: “In September it is nearly empty. By spring it is the reason the whole thing exists.” A ledger filling up, not a dashboard.

What you are handed

Two things, on the first day. A CT of your donor, and a chart with almost nothing in it yet.

This section is here so the hero can be judged against a real page, with real content length below it, rather than in isolation.
