Everything you need, in order
Eight short guide pages. A session has three tasks, listed below. Read the first three pages before your first session; the rest make more sense once you have a donor in front of you. A walkthrough video is coming to each page before the first lab session.

The short version
You and seven or eight other students share one donor for the year, split into two services that alternate dissections. You sign in, open your donor from the Patient Finder, and work that session's three tasks. Before you open a region you look at that region on your donor's CT. What you find gets filed to the region it belongs to on the exam map, signed, and read by everyone else assigned to your donor.
Today's Tasks
- Label structures on the CT (in development). Tag the session's structures on the scan, over the region you are about to open. Nothing you draw is saved yet.
- Complete the GAPP. That session's Gross Anatomy Practical Primer, handed out by the course and done outside the record.
- Record observations and findings. Filed to the region on the exam map, signed.
Three tasks a session. The pages above cover tasks one and three; the GAPP comes from your course site. Labels drawn in the viewer are not saved yet, so anything from task one that matters goes into task three.
By spring the record holds a year of accumulated observation about one person, built by the eight or nine of you, who mostly were not in the room at the same time.
If something is broken
Tell a teaching assistant in the session rather than working around it, particularly if a lab iPad opens the wrong donor. A finding signed into the wrong chart is difficult to undo, because signed findings cannot be deleted.
